Review: DOVE Hair Damage Therapy | My “Salon-damaged hair”
I’ve been raving about Dove Hair even before it was released in the Philippines. I always had to go to S&R just to buy Dove shampoo. Aside from the limited variants there, it was only available in humongous sizes so when Dove Hair was finally in the local market, it was a huge relief because I could try out other variants without buying a liter of it.
I am currently using Dove Damage Therapy (DDT) Intense Repair and it has been a great help to my "salon-damaged hair".

Dove Daily Moisture Shampoo 1.8 Liter (N/A, imported)
DDT Intense Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner (P149.00)
DDT Intense Repair Conditioner 180ml (P108.90)
DDT Intense Repair Shampoo 180ml (P110.00)
DDT Intense Repair Treatment Mask 200ml tub (P253.00)
Dove Damage Therapy is available in 4 variants: Hair Fall Rescue, Intense Repair, Straight and Silky and Nourishing Oil Care.
I compared the imported Dove shampoo with the local ones and noticed that ours have a stronger scent and has shimmer in it— Must be the secret ingredient? ;) But despite the strong scent, it’s not too strong at all or harsh on the scalp. I even got my dad (who is very OC when it comes to shampoos) to switch to Dove!
One of my favorite Dove hair products would be the Daily Treatment Conditioner. It has a strong powdery scent and doesn’t smell like the shampoo at all.
Right now, my hair is
double triple dead because of a certain salon that asked me to review their ombre services but ended up frying my hair and re-dyeing it TWICE so conditioner alone isn’t enough that’s why I need this 2 in 1 conditioner + treatment.
Imagine the horror on my face when I saw two hideous “Scott Moffatt” bleached streaks beside my eyes, 3 inches away from my scalp instead of having ombre hair. So yeah, they had to redo it but they weren’t able to attend to me again so they made another booboo and re-dyed it AGAIN! :(
*Going back* The white stripe is the conditioner while the yellow one is hair treatment. I alternate this with my regular conditioner. I actually influenced Valerie to buy this instead of the conditioner. The price difference is roughly around P30 only so I might not restock on the ordinary conditioner anymore when it runs out. *u*
After-bath care: (L-R)
DDT Nourishing Oil Care Serum 40ml (P239.00)
DDT Intense Repair 2 Step Treatment 20ml (P192.00)
DDT Intense Repair Overnight Treatment 120ml (P384.00)
I haven’t used the 2-step Intense Repair treatment yet because I’m saving it for a special occasion but I might just give in to the temptation because my extra-damaged hair is screaming for help. It might actually clean up the mess that the incompetent salon left behind.
I use the Intense Repair Overnight Treatment every night before going to sleep. It has already become a habit to regularly apply serum on my hair because I’m afraid it might go completely dry on me plus, it slowly repairs the damage while I sleep. It’s not sticky at all so don’t be afraid to try it.
Another favorite Dove hair product of mine is the leave-on serum. It’s quite cheap compared to the hair serums I’ve tried in the past so I will most probably stick with this one or try out the Hair Fall Rescue one since my hair has been shedding like crazy since my bad hair job. It’s the perfect antidote to my uncooperative and frizzy hair!

This was taken last December during our Europe trip and everyone kept complimenting my hair. Take note, I didn’t bring any hair products except for Dove Shampoo and conditioner. I don’t even have time to blower my hair before leaving because our schedule was so hectic and I always woke up late. *heehee*
My hair was so pretty before the bad dye job. I just wish I didn’t entrust my hair to that salon. So far, Dove Intense Repair line has been very effective even with my burnt and bleached hair. I hope they release a new variant called 'Intense Repair for Damaged hair by incompetent salons'.. Kidding!
I hope you learned something from this review. Take my word for it, Dove Hair works really well even on extremely damaged hair. ;)
