I was invited to review the services of GET LASHED! Eyelash Extension Salon last December, right before my Europe trip.

 
It was perfect timing because I want to look good in our photos without having to apply mascara everyday. It’s such a hassle to wash off mascara especially the waterproof ones so eyelash extensions are the way to go!

I visited their Metrowalk branch on a weekday afternoon so it was really quiet in the salon. I think that Mondays-Thursdays are the best days to go to any salon because they can tend to your needs without any distractions. I also heard that they get pretty fully booked on weekends so it’s better to make an appointment on a non-peak day or hour.

There’s a wide variety of eyelash extensions to choose from: Fine, Natural, Mascara Light, mascara heavy and Mascara Full Thick. I went for the latter since I would be out of the country for a while.

The procedure took about an hour so good thing the beds were really comfortable. I think I fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes. *hee*

The eyelash technician carefully attached the false lashes to mine. It takes quite some time since they really have to do it strand by strand or else your lashes will clump up or stick together. Here are the results…

Ta-dah! Super fine, natural-looking eyelash extensions!

These can last for about a month and a half if you maintain it properly. To avoid the lashes from falling off prematurely, avoid rubbing your eyes and using makeup remover on your lash line because oil makes the adhesive weak. Mine lasted for about 3 weeks only. maybe it’s because of the freezing weather in Europe and then sudden change when I arrived at NAIA. Lol.

Myth: They say that eyelash extensions can make your real lashes fall off~ SO FALSE. Our lashes really fall off regularly, we just don’t notice it. I did observe that a lot my real lashes went off with the fake ones since they’re attached to it. But hey, no biggie, it grew back in no time. :)

So glad I had mine done right before leaving because I didn’t have to apply any makeup during the trip and I look dolled up in all photos. I looked like Barbie when I had full makeup on! :))

It seems like I’m wearing falsies, right!? I used MEDIUM length lashes by the way! That’s why they’re really long. You can opt for the shorter ones if you want a natural look. Regardless of the length, they won’t be heavy on the eyes. :)
