Shopping LVL: ASIAN (Not a 9gag post)
What do you usually wear when you’re going shopping? Normally, I like to be in my “lazy attire” and when I say lazy I mean pambahay (house) clothes and flip flops because I get so stressed about the thought of carrying huge shopping bags and walking around the mall all dressed up with my usual 5-inch stiletto pumps.
But last week, Vern, Patrish, Danah and I were convinced to shop in style at The Mall of Asia. The photo above looks like we’re about to enter a club or a cocktail party because we were all in heels!

I hate my big arms so I’m really fond of sheer cover ups so I don’t have to worry when our bipolar weather suddenly becomes warm.
Layered 2 bib necklaces from SM Accessories. I swear, their stuff are so classy but inexpensive. I rarely find myself shopping for accessories at Hong Kong anymore since I discovered how much they have leveled up their designs!
YSL Tribute-insipred shoes from Parisian. Got these during the Bloggers’ Pictorial party. Every time I wear it out, my friends ask me how much I got them for. They assume that it’s from some expensive brand. :> We walked around the whole mall from 1pm to 6pm and my feet were still alive!!!
While we were strolling around, I got separated from the girls because I checked out the sale stuff at The Body Shop. You’ll see why I got distracted when I post the sale items tomorrow!
Good thing I bumped into David Guison and dragged him to our flock. Teehee.

It really saved my feet because all those heavy bags would have made it harder for me to shop! And the best part is, this service is FREE OF CHARGE! Just request for one at the concierge! :)
After a long day of shopping, the girls and I (plus David) went to Lugang Cafe for our super late lunch/ early dinner. I gotta admit, their xiao long bao is by far the BEST in Manila!
Everyone was busy tweeting/ instagraming/ Facebook-ing while waiting for our orders.

I AM MEG event | Summer Outfit | RED Highlights!
Last week, I attended the I AM MEG event at Skye with Valerie. (MIA in this entry) The invitation said that cocktails would start at 6pm and we arrived on the dot. We forgot about the “Filipino time” and that everyone would be fashionably late given that this is a fashion magazine’s event.
Since we had a lot of time to kill, Val took really nice outfit photos for me. YEY!

The hyper Dazzle Ng, Associate Publisher of Meg Magazine, presented Meg’s online portal through this giant interactive screen. It was designed to look like a giant PLDT Telepad so the slides followed her hand movement. No wonder she told me that she had a Steve Jobs presentation!

SM accessories Summer Collection | Nuffnang’s 5th Anniversary
We were invited to SM accessories’ summer collection launch and fashion show last February 27, 2012 at the Dusit Thani Hotel lobby. The event was supposed to be held by the poolside but due to the bad weather, the time and venue had to be changed on the very last minute.
I remember the same thing happened last year at their One Esplanade event. I got stuck at home because the rain was pretty scary that night. But the fashion show still pushed through and everyone was very impressed by the production. Here are a few photos from the recent fashion show:
^This was my favorite ensemble. Surprisingly, worn by a guy. I’ve never tried sporting a nautical look. Maybe I’ll do so this summer. I need to get my hands on that bag for my beach trip this summer!
The highlight of the night were these 2 kids. Everyone was going “awww” when they came out because they were so cute and seemed a bit lost. :}
Val and I w/ wew found friend~ Bestie! We always see each other at events but was never formally introduced to each other so I’m glad we shared a table that night. :)
With the lovely Enciso sisters and Paul the PR guy. Vern and Verniece will be joining my next makeup workshop this April 14. Yey! :)
After the event, Val and I together with beauty bloggers Earth (Earthlingorgeous) and Angela (Lush Angel) headed to Borough for Nuffnang’s 5th anniversary party.
Val and I shared our favorite dish there~ Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup! Mmm I’m getting hungry while typing this. Borough used to be my secret hangout for meetings and dates before people found out about it. I still drop by whenever I can. Hee. :>
Good thing we decided to party hop because we got to meet Carlos of foodiemanila.com. He’s one of my favorite food bloggers aside from BetweenBites and OurAwesomePlanet.

EOTD: To match my “sexy butler” outfit, I used Silver Catwalkeyeshadow with thick falsies from Sasa HK & Freshlook Colorblends Sterling Gray contact lenses. This color is one of their latest additions to their collection. It is more vibrant than the usual Colorblends shades like Turquoise, Gray, Pure Hazel, etc. I think these contacts were the cherry on top of my whole outfit because it made a big difference to my appearance when I wore them. I felt like a foreigner whenever I looked at the mirror. :>
*The photo above was taken at close range with harsh flash so the contacts look a bit misty but they’re very wearable and not scary-looking in real life. Accidentally posted this review on my Garage Magazine entry because I got confused. Woot.
