The Traveling Heels

Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she can rule the world.

SEBAGO: Test the Waters

I rarely set aside my heels for flats during events. So when I do, it must be for a damn good brand like Sebago.

Val & I were invited to their event at Greenbelt 3 to check out their latest collection.

In no way was I going to remove my heels while standing beside Val so I stayed far away from her while trying on shoes :))

Val got a pair of Sebago Balas while I opted for a more rugged one. I remember my brother telling me that Sebago is well-known for their boat shoes so I didn’t try on any other type of shoes.

After rummaging through the different colors of Sebago Docksides, I fully understood why my male friends are crazy about it. Not only are their designs classy, but they’re very comfortable too.

This pair immediately caught my eye as soon as I entered the store. I was so devastated when I found out they only had 2 pairs left and none of them were in my size. ;__;

So I went for the next best thing, a similar one, but it’s also sold out in size 7. I was making a puppy dog pouty face to the store attendant so he called up other branches to check for my size but they were really fresh out of this design. *heartbreak*

They told me that Sebago loyalists and collectors are crazy buyers because they only released the collection a few weeks before the event and some unique designs, like this one, are already out of stock thanks to them. Who wouldn’t go crazy over a pair of bright colored, hand sewn pair of Sebagos, right?

Nevertheless, they had a wide variety of colors to choose from so I narrowed it down to these 3. I had a really hard time to choose which pair to take home with me because all of them were pretty! *_* Both my Facebook & Instagram poll suggested me to get the pink/rose colored one but according to Val, the color didn’t suit my skin tone. Gotta listen to the color expert! :p

So this is the pair I got…..

I love the powder blue & baby pink color combination. It made the pair look less rugged and more dainty~ which is perfect for a girly girl like me! :D

I’m actually glad that I didn’t buy the pair of Todd’s loafers that I wanted back when I was in Europe. I think it’s ridiculous to spend over 20k for a pair of shoes that will eventually get dirty and worn out. This pair is definitely a steal at P4k+ only!

Thank you Sebago Philippines for the lovely afternoon. This pair will surely stand out from my shoe collection because it’s only my 3rd pair of flats from a luxury brand.

OOTD: Pretty in Pastel

One of my best girl friends from the US visited me last week and took me to their fondant cake factory because she knew about my fondness for sweets- especially cakes!

Faded denim dress LEVI’s

It was perfect timing because I’m at a low point in my life right now. A lot of things aren’t going right and I am a bit of an emotional wreck. But I’m sure no one sees it because I’m a master at concealing my emotions in public. The afternoon I spent in her factory (not to mention chomping and nabbing fondant cake toppers) really turned things around.

Gold ring YHANSY | H&M for Lanvin earrings from FROU FROU

Belt FROU FROU | Watch ALDO

Hard case hand bag/ satchel EVER NEW Melbourne

I took this bag to the counter the moment I saw it. Some clothes at Ever New may be hella expensive but all of their bags are very affordable. This is my 3rd one already in a span of a month!

Wedges MELISSA SHOES / GELEIA Mall of Asia

Don’t they look like they were made for me to wear together with my pastel bag?? Teehee. I immediately thought of an outfit post when I saw this at Geleia MOA. Melissa Shoes smell soooo nice! The scent gives me a nostalgic feeling; taking me back to my gradeschool days when scented stationaries were selling like hotcakes.

Although things have been chaotic in my life lately, I keep myself busy and try to stay away from things that will make me go insane. I need to make a confession though, I am currently addicted to “Heroine“…

.. Heroine lipstick by MAC Cosmetics, of course! I would never ever do drugs.. EVER! 8D This limited edition shade was from one of their summer collections. I was so sad that MAC Manila immediately got out of stock but I’m so happy a friend tracked it down for me abroad. I find myself applying lipstick even when I’m alone in my room!

*Hi, my name is Marj, and I am a MAC Heroine lipstick addict* :))

I hope MAC is already open at MOA by the time I go back. Most of the items in this post are from last week’s shopping spree. For now, don’t forget to enjoy the last 2 days of their end of season sale this weekend!

Raid my closet this weekend!!!

The Bloggers United team will be at the Supersale Bazaar this weekend, July 13-15 from 10am-9pm at The World Trade Center. I *might* be there until Saturday only though because of a family gathering so I hope you can drop by today or tomorrow!

It’s Friday the 13th today but you can get lucky by going to my booth reaaally early because I will be selling loads of discounted stuff that I bought impulsively. For example, last I’m Shoe In Love, I hoarded TONS of IPANEMA flip flops because they were around P300 only @ 60% off but to my dismay, some didn’t fit my mom and sister’s feet! Boo. So I’ll be selling them at the SAME CRAZY PRICES I got them. :D And as usual, there will be a rack full of Forever 21, H&M, The Ramp, etc. clothes!

Catwalk Cosmetics products will also be there. Since July is sale season, a lot of products are MARKED DOWN for clearance! So please, do drop by because this is our last bazaar before Christmas season!! Hope to see you there!! :>

Cougar on the Prowl | I’m Shoe in Love!

Everyone knows that there’s one animal print I can never resist whether it’s on a bag, shoe, dress or scarf, I’ve got to have it in my closet! My leopard obsession started last year and my friends have been calling me the “cougar queen” ever since then.

When we went to Borough last week, they said that I look like a cougar on the prowl (hence, the title) because I was dressed so maturely but still had leopard prints on my shoes.

Flaunted my new baby~ PRADA 1336. I fell in love with this bag during my trip to Milan last January but it was out of stock so I bugged my friends to buy it for me. XD I promise you, this bag is a GREAT buy so if you love luxury bags, this is a great addition to your collection.

Cougarriffic shoes from TRUNKSHOW.

Lately, I’ve been using Block & White Intensive Whitening lotion on my legs and I think that it has really improved my skin tone and lightened my scars!

At the same time, I’m also taking Mosbeau Placenta White Food Supplement which contains collagen that improves, firms and prevents melanin production on the skin.

If you’re wondering how my feet can survive wearing high heeled shoes for a long time, I have a secret weapon!

I always place gel heel cushions inside and on areas where I feel might hurt after walking or standing for quite some time. NEAT FEAT has affordable good quality ones! These are available at Watsons and ROX.

If you’re a shoe addict like me, you shouldn’t miss out on this weekend’s event…

Drop by I’m Shoe In Love bazaar at the NBC tent tomorrow and on Sunday! (June 30-July 1, 10am-9pm) It’s the one and only place where you can find all your favorite shoe brands in one place! I’m dropping by as early as the opening time so I can get the best deals. XD

Hope to see you there!!

Sueño de Espadrilles <3

Val, Crissey & I visited Sueño de Espadrilles at The Podium mall last summer. I misplaced all my files so I’m posting my April-May blog entries just now. :s Thankfully, this is my last backlog entry. Wuhoo!

It’s a good thing Espadrilles never go out of style. ;)

It was my first time to enter the shop because I rarely shop at The Podium mall. When I entered the store, I felt like I was transported to Spain. There were jute ropes everywhere! Even on their flip flops! XD

Their salesladies even have the bullfighting cloth wrapped around their waist. Toro, toro!

They have a wide variety of shoes. In case you didn’t know, espadrilles are usually sneakers made of canvas or cotton fabric with a jute rope. Nowadays, it has evolved into different styles like flip flops, wedges, sandals, etc.

Out of all the shoes in the shop, these wedges were my favorite!

They also have espadrilles for men.

These were supposed to be my top pick since I don’t own a single pair of sneakers…

But my friends said it’s too “Maria Clara” for me. HAHAHA!! :)))

So I ended up taking this baby home! They’re sooo comfy, you can practically run in them! Wore them to the mall for a whole day and my toes felt like they were being massaged every step of the way. HERE’s a photo. :D

Sueno De Espadrilles is available at the following malls:
The Podium
4/F, ADB Ave., Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City
Mall of Asia
2/F, South Wing, Pasay City
Greenbelt 5
2/F, Phase 1, Ayala Center, Makati City
Ayala Center Cebu
2/F, Bridgeway, Expansion Bldg., Cebu City
SunCity, Gen. Santos
G/F, SunCity Suites, National Highway, Gen. Santos City

Oh, before I forget, every time you buy a pair of espadrilles there, you help benefit underprivileged kids in the YesPinoy Foundation. And it’s not just a small amount! As I can recall, it’s around P100+ per pair. That’s pretty big if you ask me! ;)

The Makeup Artist Learns How To Paint

I joined Valerie Chua’s watercolor workshop last summer and got reacquainted with my crappy painting skills from gradeschool. Lol. I’ve been a frustrated artist since then because I’m surrounded by extremely talented friends like Val and I discovered that the canvas I’m meant to work with isn’t a piece of paper or cheese cloth but a person’s face.

Here’s our work station. I got to keep all the materials but I haven’t been able to use it yet. Maybe I’ll paint one of these days to release all my stress.

The class started at around 9am on a lazy Saturday morning. Take a look at Crissey, she’s still half asleep. hoho! Shai on the other hand is being a good student.

Val taught us that different shades of a color are achieved by mixing it with water. I always thought they needed a wide variety of shades per color. I wish it were the same for makeup! Now that would save us a lot from spending on unnecessary colors. XD

For our 1st activity, Val taught us the different techniques in painting.

Mine ended up a little bit shabby. Teehee. Was so amazed at using alcohol and salt to create different textures and effects.

Now we move on to the harder part…

Painting an object!! :0 Everyone else got an apple but I had to live up to my name and paint a shoe! :p My seatmates seemed a bit lost because we all thought it was an easy task but noooo… I got stressed instead of relaxed because my painting was so messy!!! haha!

Zhayne was a natural artist, she analyzed what to do before adding any colors. She was also my student in one of my Etude House makeup workshops last year.

Crissey was frustrated because she was used to markers for coloring and not watecolors. She’s so cute when she’s stressed out, right? XD

Check out the evolution of my shoe! Val kept nagging me to stop being so stiff because this isn’t makeup so the colors don’t have to be so tidy and perfect XD

She grabbed my brush and added more water and paint to my shoe. HUHU ;__;

But hey! It looks waaaay better than my stiff shoe! XD I hope I can achieve the same thing when I attempt to paint again.

Me & Val! :) She’s currently working on my blog’s new logo and is working with my artist for the layout. So excited to change everything because my Tumblr layout is so boring.

After the class, Shai, Val, Crissey and I went to Megamall for some Gong Cha milk tea! I think this is the most casual attire I’ve ever posted here! haha :)

The top I’m wearing was created by myself! I went out to buy cloth and asked my helper to sew it for me! Cute, huh? I ended up spending less than P200 only instead of buying a chiffon top that costs P800+.

Cowboy Ring FOREVER 21; Red Watch ALDO; Sling Bag CEVANNE SHOP

I wore my super comfy wedges from Sueno Espadrilles. I could run in these all day! Speaking of, I completely forgot to post about my shopping experience there so that’s next in line in my blog.

The watercolor workshop we attended was Val’s last session but I heard that she is planning to organize another one during students’ semestral break this October. Subscribe to her blog to stay updated: www.quietgirl.net

Fashion Roadtrip (For Shoe Lovers Only!)

Here’s the first from my long list of backlogs since I went on blogging hiatus a month ago— A Fashion Roadtrip with bloggers care of VNC, The Little Things She Needs and The Flat Shop.

I had lunch with my favorite bloggers (the usual suspects) at Cook Book Kitchen in Eastwood. That was the day after I got really sick from severe tonsillitis, hence my outfit, my favorite white “hospital cardigan” as my mom would call it. Good thing I forced myself to get well for this event because it was the most unique one I have ever attended!

Cutie Atchie Sarah with yummy red velvet cake. Just found out we both came from the same high school! YEY! So here’s our first stop…

VNC! I’m sure everyone’s familiar with this brand already. I love the hot pink bag!!

Here are my top picks from the collection:

Can’t say no to ribbon!

Pumps will always be my favorite shoe style.

Isn’t it obvious, I’m obsessed with pink stuff? :p

Lucky girls who got to take home VNC products! :)

Next stop, The Little Things She Needs! I rarely go to the old mall of Eastwood since I only go there to dine nowadays so I’ve only been to TLTSN twice. They have a wide variety of shoes and accessories. I recommend it to those who have a cutesy, dainty fashion style.

I had a hard time to choose which pair to take home because there were so many cute shoes but I decided to go with this elegant navy blue stiletto.

After strolling around Eastwood, there was a coaster waiting to transfer us to The Flat Shop in Greenhills. It was so funny because I felt like I was in grade school again. We still had field trips back then because there were no terrorist threats back then. Our school banned field trips after the mall bombings back in the 90’s. :( Do schools still have field trips nowadays??

We had a crazy Q&A segment on the way to Greenhills.

We were welcomed by The Flat Shop staff with a flower necklace aka a “Lei” and mango shake to make it feel like we’ve been transported to a new island. XD

The Flat Shop carries various brands like TKEES - as seen on a lot of Hollywood celebs.

Girl 2 Doors Down - Flip flops fit for a bling queen.

It also has crazy statements printed on the slippers itself! I bet my best friend would say this one suits me best. Lol.

They also have Melissa shoes, one of my favorite brands when it comes to flats. I’m so addicted to the scent of their shoes. I try to preserve mine so I always store it well after every use! haha!

Flexflops — perfect for travel because the slippers are foldable and they’re perfect for the hotel!

Me & atchie Rowena. She’s one of the few bloggers that I became sort of close with when I was just starting. I love her to bits!! <3

Aisa & Anna goofing off. I love these two ladies, they always make me laugh!

Last photo before we ended the day!. Hope here will be another Fashion Roadtrip.. To another province, perhaps? XD Before I forget, here’s what i got from The Flat Shop:

Girl 2 Doors Down Black Platform Sandal with studs and crystal. Wore this to Bloggers United 3 when my feet got tired of wearing heels. A lot of people asked me where I got it! :D

I’m not 100% sure but this looks Zirconian! What do you think?

Pink Flexflop slippers! Will bring this with me to my Guam, Bangkok and Hong Kong trip in the next 3 months.

Thank you again to VNC, The Little Things She Needs & The Flat Shop team for this wonderful experience. Hands down, this is the most unique intimate event I have ever had out of all the blogger events I’ve attended. Sorry for the late post, had to take some time off but now I’m baaack! :)

Parisian Bloggers Pictorial Party | Catwalk Cosmetics Summer 2012 Makeup Workshop

I was invited by Parisian Bags and Shoes to participate in their Bloggers Pictorial Party at Elite Studios in Makati. We were asked to choose two pairs from their summer collection and model one of them for the campaign.

Parisian Bags & Shoes has been in SM for as long as I can remember. My mom told me that she also wears Parisian shoes during her teens and she’s quite impressed by how their style has evolved.

A lot of their designs are inspired by luxury brands. I immediately thought of YSL Tributes when I saw these bright yellow and orange stilettos. Can’t wait to get my hands (and feet) on these babies!

The Bloggers Pictorial Party was a very private and intimate event. It is one of the most impressive events I’ve attended up to date. We were all relaxed, pampered and the Parisian team was very accommodating! Our makeover was done by Jaime of L’Oreal Paris (hair) and Bobby Carlos (Max Factor).

I must admit, it’s been a while since I tried using Max Factor. We got to take home their lip tint lipstick and I’ve been using it since then. Expect a review on that soon! :)

Here are a few takes from the shoot:

CHIFFON KIMONO Flights of Fancy; TANK TOP, SKIRT, ACCESSORIES Forever 21; BAG & SHOES Parisian

I was quite nervous because all the other fashion bloggers were so sexy and I’ve been on a food binge spree since the year started. But I tried my best to pose with my different personalities.

Here’s one photo of me trying to pull off a seductive look. My chronic b*tch face is showing. *o*

And here’s my trademark “semi-opened happy mouth smile” haha! Obviously, I asked them to use this for the bloggers campaign.

Speaking of the campaign, I have a small favor to ask from everyone. Parisian Bags & Shoes will be giving 20k worth of products to me and my readers (yes, you!) if I’m one of the top 3 bloggers with the most # of votes.

You can vote for me THRICE a day at the Parisian Bags & Shoes Page. You must first like their page, then enter the ‘Parisian Challenge’ application found in their menu. (photo above)

After Clicking, it will be easy to find my page then hit vote THRICE A DAY! I know I have a small chance since I’m more inclined to beauty blogging than fashion but it would be so nice to win an online contest for once.

I’m way behind with the # of votes because I haven’t posted anything about this in any of my pages. I only found out that the contest had already started when I returned from Hong Kong last night. So can you help me? Pretty please??? :)

Like I said, I’m waaaay behind schedule with my posts and my next makeup workshop will be held 10 days from now. (April 21, 1-5pm, Pasig City) Trust me, it will be a fun and interactive session with skin care, contact lens care and of course, makeup lessons. Plus there will gifts worth over 2k from sponsors like Freshlook Contact lenses, Nivea Sun, Garnier, Extreme Finds, Tonic Bags and Shoes, SugaRush Cakes and Dove Hair. Since it’s a little last minute, I’ll be giving 10% off the price if you can enroll with the special discount codes from the 2 guest fashion bloggers.

Can you guess who? Watch out for our blog entries tomorrow! You can text 0917-8929289 for inquiries if you want to register immediately.

CLUE: They look like twin angels. ;)

I hope everyone enjoyed their holy week vacation! Don’t forget to **VOTE FOR ME AT THE PARISIAN CHALLENGE** ;D

NYX Cosmetics | FivebyFive Shoes | Shop at Multiply.com

If the eyes are the windows to the soul then NYX’s I dream of St. Lucia eyeshadow palette will surely give you a colorful personality.

The I Dream of St. Lucia palette consists of 5 best selling NYX eyeshadows and I found it to be the most appealing out of their Caribbean Collection. I rarely use pastel colors since they tend to make my eyes smaller but when blended well, it can give an angelic effect. Just don’t forget to draw a thick or winged eyeliner to make your eyes bigger.

I wasn’t satisfied with the pigmentation of the eyeshadows when I swatched them on my hand. But after trying it again with NYX High Definition Eyeshadow Base (item below), it came out like this. I was mostly impressed at the buttercup yellow shade. Obviously, I wouldn’t dare go out with this type of makeup unless there’s a themed party or else I’ll get a long sermon from my parents and weird looks from people outside. I get that a lot even when I’m just wearing bright colored contact lenses. Sigh, I wish weird or bright makeup was more acceptable!

For blush, my personal pick is their PINKY (PB05) shade. It’s definitely a steal compared to the MAC Pink Swoon blush which costs around P1,400. (All prices available upon inquiry at Five by Five)

For the lips, I used NYX African Queen (LG115) lip gloss. I’m very happy with this shade because it’s a mix of my favorite colors, magenta and hot pink. You don’t need to wear any lipstick underneath because the gloss itself can stand alone and give you pink, pouty, party lips!

See, I told you the eyeshadow gives an “angelic effect” *lol* but I think my Freshlook Contact Lenses in Pure Hazel was the halo on top of this innocent look.

NYX Cosmetics is not yet available locally but it can be ordered at a very low price from Five by Five Multiply Shop. I heard that all orders coursed through Multiply will get free shipping until a limited time only so let your fingers do the shopping!

Aside from cosmetics, Five by Five is very popular for having very affordable and trendy shoes. I got the opportunity to buy one at a low price thanks to Multiply.com’s participation at Bloggers United 2.

I got a pair of ENID shoes. These are Givenchy-inspired jersey bandage suede wedges and will make you about 13.5cm taller. (wedge height) They are hella comfy so my feet didn’t hurt even if I used it for a whole day at a bazaar.

The color can also make your legs look slim and longer. Do I still look like I’m only 5’1 ft in this photo? :p By the way, that’s not my real hair. I’m using my Catwalk Georgina Wig~ channeling a sexy teacher/ secretary. :))

Online Shopping Tip: Nowadays, there are so many fake online shops and scammers everywhere so be careful who you transact with. Five By Five has a “Price Match Guarantee” wherein they will offer you the same price that other shops have as long as you submit a form to them with a link to the said seller.

With that said, you can feel more safe and confident when you order items from them rather than ordering it from some random online shop and not being able to sleep as you wait for your package to arrive. (Yes, it happens to me. I’m very paranoid. Hee!)

Hope you enjoyed my latest makeup and shoe finds! Don’t forget to visit Five by Five’s Multiply and like their Facebook page too.

Happy shopping! :)

Realizations: On Life, Love & Stilettos (Drama ahead)

I’ve been staring at my laptop for the past 30 minutes; figuring out how to start this entry. “Hello 2012!”, nah, I’m kinda too late for that or “Just got back from Europe & I’m stil jet lag!”, meh, so boring. Besides, I don’t intend on writing about my trip just now. I’m not even going to be blogging about my latest finds or makeup tips.

I rummaged through my blog archive and noticed that all I ever posted were my favorite beauty products, food or events that I attended and I never shared anything personal to my readers except a few random shout outs via Twitter. (Sometimes too personal, hehe) But I guess it’s about time I wrote about something deep and non-materialistic here.

The last 12 months of my life have been a crazy rollercoaster elevator ride. *Tiny Tower* Sometimes it’s parked at the Penthouse but most of the time it goes straight to the basement and stays there for a while; full of problems. I wouldn’t have overcome those if it weren’t for my crazy friends who stood by me in times of adversity. (and my unpredictable mood swings) 2011 to me, was filled with countless trials on my relationships with people- especially friends.

I realized that not all friendships are meant to be saved and that people you never expected might turn out to be your real friends. I started the previous year pretty bad. I was with the wrong crowd and got into trouble a lot. It came to a point where I almost broke down and even my family got worried but I’m very thankful to Valerie for teaching me that it’s never too late to start. Or in my case, stop all my foolishness. I’ve known Val since we were classmates in grade school and we used to be neighbors. 10 years ago, I would have never imagined that we’d still be friends after graduating from college and I’m glad that we’ve become closer throughout the years.

Before I entered the “blogging world” I heard so many horror stories about people who would pretend to be a friend just so they can milk contacts or ask for favors. (or accuse you of doing such) Sadly, a lot of us had to learn the hard way. But do not fret, only a few people are a**holes. Lol. In fact, I’ve made a lot of wonderful and interesting friends last year. Fashion, beauty and mommy bloggers + readers— It’s nice to learn new things from different walks of life. I got to know a lot of my readers through my makeup workshops and I’ve grown really close to some and call them my adopted little sisters. I was amazed as to how kikay most mommy bloggers are and how comfortable I feel when I’m with them despite the age gap. I feel like I have so many “atchies” (Big sis in Chinese) that I can confide to when I feel down and I’m also happy that I can make them laugh with my corny jokes too.

A lot of readers may think that we need to always have perfect hair and full makeup on but that’s not the real us. We actually find it hard to keep posing for the camera during events when in reality we just want to spend our time in a house talking about boys, nonsense stuff like urban legends, pig out, burp out loud or even fart (lol) because that’s how real friends are supposed to be. You don’t need to have circle lenses on or dress up and you’re allowed to say what you want to say and not talk like as if we’re robots reading from the script of a PR kit because true friends won’t judge you for what you have to say. I don’t need to mention any names or tag any people here. You know who you guys are. And I am thankful that all of you became a part of my life. We’ve all had our ups and downs. No relationship is ever perfect but there’s nothing that compromise, honesty and girl-time-bonding can’t fix.

Friendship isn’t supposed to be complicated but love on the other hand, sometimes is. I can’t really say that I’m a private person (well, I try to be but fail) because my life is an open book and I am a vocal person by nature. Sometimes I can’t help but be emo or rant out in twitterwhen I feel awful. (Sarreh, iz my crazy woman hormones + mood swings) haha! Seriously, each and every person has a unique coping mechanism and it helps when random strangers share their similar experiences with you. Makes you feel like you’re not alone.

Believe it or not, my whole 2011 was about waiting for something to happen. I spent the entire year waiting for someone that never came back. Stupid, right? But I believe that nothing is more stupid than having regrets and leaving stones unturned. Hold it, I’m not going to share some sob story or explain in detail as I have no idea who on earth will stumble upon this entry but let’s just say everything was going smoothly until one day we drifted apart. I woke up everyday with the same question: “What if?” or “What could have been?” ..for 365 freaking days.

Don’t worry. He doesn’t read my blog. And that’s something I’m thankful for because I hate men who make such a big deal out of blogging and perceive us to be ‘Barbie’. Only my closest friends know about this and I didn’t want to accept that I was depressed until I fixed my shoe cabinet and saw that I had too many pairs. I realized that every time I became sad, I went out to shop for new shoes!

Being in a relationship is like buying a pair of new shoes. You’ll never know if it’s meant for you unless you try it. And sometimes, you only realize that it hurts after wearing it for a while but if you’re lucky, it might be a perfect fit. That’s the thing about relationships, you’ll never know unless you give it a shot.. And it’s something that I never did. Up to this very minute, I still regret not making any effort to make him stay. I was so blinded by my pride that it was too late when I got the chance to finally tell him how I feel. He was already with someone else.

The whole year, I felt like I was walking in a stunning pair of 5-inch platform heels. I had to walk proud, smile and look good in them but reality is, they hurt like hell. It’s hard because I had to put on a happy face everyday and pretend that everything is okay so my friends would stop worrying. And I never expected anyone to understand because after all, no one has tried walking in my shoes. My point in sharing this is: Never let pride get in the way. Do what you want to do and say what you want to say because one day, your regrets will pile up and eat you up if you let pride or anger get the best of you.

The same goes with friendship. Never be afraid to say sorry or admit your mistakes because that is the only way you will ever resolve a problem. I’ve made so many wrong turns in my life but that never stopped me from finding my way back. So for those who are going through the same thing, never give up. Everyone has friends that they can turn to and if all else fails, there’s always the spa and shopping.

I hope that this year will be better for all of us. It’s time to let go of all ‘What if’s’ and ‘What could have been’s’ and look forward to an awesome year. Who knows, you might even find the perfect pair of stilettos this year.

So 2012, bring it on. :}

Comfiest Clogs award goes to… ♥

Finally, Tonic Bags & Shoes uploaded the photo of the clogs I wore to Bloggers United. A lot of people were asking me where they could see it. One even asked to buy it because I left it on the floor when I was resting my feet during the bazaar! Haha :)) My feet didn’t hurt a lot considering these are 5-inch heels and we were standing most of the time from 10am to 8pm. I only took a break for around 15 minutes to let my toes breathe.

I’ve been buying bags and shoes from Tonic since they first started out as a small business back when I was still in college. I would regularly visit their Tiendesitas branch just to see new stocks because their prices are very student-friendly. Not only are their products very affordable, their quality is pretty good too because the bags I got years ago are still in good condition despite the bulky things I throw inside before rushing out of the house.

Their Garrie Clogs are by far the comfiest clogs I’ve ever used. It comes in two colors: Beige & black. This design is exclusively available in The Ramp Glorietta, The Ramp Trinoma and ONLINE. Hurry, order one now because I heard stocks are almost out! ;)

You can also tweet the sweet owner of Tonic for faster replies to your inquiries. She’s super nice and very accommodating. Another reason why I’ve been a loyal customer of Tonic since 2008! :)
